Launched in 1968 to manufacture agricultural machines under a licensing agreement with John Deere, Çumitaş produced 26,250 units over the next 18 years.
In 1986, Cumitaş has started to manufacture earth moving and industrial machines under its own license and brand name “ÇUKUROVA.” The company’s outstanding products with the capacity to produce 2,000 units per annum include; 11 different models of hydrostatic, power-shift and electrical forklift trucks; 3 different models of rigid 2 wheel-steered and 4 wheel-steered backhoe loaders; and 1 model of articulated wheel loader. Products are assembled at Çumitaş’ manufacturing facility located in Tarsus-Mersin with a covered area of 14,444 square meters situated on a 109,710 square meter site.
Over the years it has grown to its present position as an only forklift truck and wheel loader manufacturer and a leading company for Backhoe Loaders in TURKIYE. Within two yeas Cumitaş has increased its market share noticeably in both local and global market by reaching a valuable sales volumes over 20 countries in the world. Besides operating in Europe, North Africa, Middle-East and Ex-Soviet countries under the network of its esteemed dealers,  Cumitaş has dedicated itsself to expand its dealer network in world-wide by considering full customers satisfaction and to cover all their needs. In this respect Cumitaş has recently add a new type 4-Wheel Steered 888 model Backhoe Loader to its 2-Wheel Steered Backhoe Loaders and; three new models powerhift type forklift trucks to its hydrostatic type forklift truck series. All new and current products are blended by worldwide known components and latest technologies; combined with concentrated power, high performance safety and extreme user friendliness; supported by dealers and customers feedbacks; tested and certified by notified Certification Bodies and now Ready to be a Major Player in all markets.
